The Denali Borough School District, located in Interior Alaska, includes three schools along an 80-mile stretch of the George Parks Highway, as well as a state-wide correspondence school. The School District administrative office is located in Healy, in the center of the district.

Discussions during our recent in-service revealed a breadth and depth of feelings regarding our standards-based education system that indicate changes are in order. As we move forward it is imperative that we not repeat the mistakes of the past. To establish the common ground upon which we can all agree, and we all agree that this is all about our students, we need to come together with our individual visions in order to create a common one.
